結びKnot

This work integrates Deleuze's philosophical concept of the "Body without Organs" to explore the de-functionalization and de-organicization of the female body through virtual furniture and 3D design. From the perspective of three generations of Chinese women, it reveals the collective memory and individual experiences of Chinese women across different historical periods.

Design Concept :

The electric fan and dining table can be understood together – in the dining area shown in the video, this space serves not only as a place to eat but also as a site of kitchen labor.

The electric fan symbolizes the three generations of women who have taken on the responsibility of cooking. With each turn of the fan, a dish is produced, representing how the duty of cooking has been passed down like a relay baton across generations. Women have continually inherited obligations rather than rights, and this cycle mirrors the endless rotation of the fan.
